quick - need ideas for dinner tonight from Trader Joe's

Anonymous
Did not make it to the grocery store this hectic weekend, and after foraging in the fridge for last night's dinner, I really need to make an actual meal tonight. I have no time to stop at the store on my way home from work, but I can walk over to TJ's this afternoon - in the rain - to pick something up.

Last night, I had some leftover roast chicken in the fridge, and I made what I thought was a fairly hearty chicken noodle soup with egg drop & veggies, but an hour after dinner, my kids were "starving" and digging through the pantry for granola bars and such. So we need a bit more sustenance in tonight's meal! I do have to schlep whatever I buy home on the metro, but I am ok with something frozen if necessary.

TIA for any ideas!

BBQ chicken or pork sandwiches and sweet potato fries (get the tub of BBQ chicken, rolls and a bag of frozen fries)

pizza margharita and salad (frozen pizzas and salad mix)

egg rolls, orange chicken and rice (chicken comes in a bag with the sauce separate in the freezer section).

meatballs and noodles

Pulled Pork with rolls and some kind of veggie/salad (pulled pork is in a red foil bag over near the cooked refrigerated food.)

Homemade pizza - TJs herbed pizza dough is GREAT. We normally do pepperoni. Added some sauteed onions and peppers last time and it was awesome.

Panko crusted tilpia (boxed in the freezer section) on a bed of spinach with the corn salsa on top. Could add sweet potato fries for the kids.

I love the Trader Joe's Broccoli and Beef

Also, their macaroni and cheese might be a hit with the kids.

Frozen BBQ chicken teriyaki along with some frozen white rice and a bag of frozen broccoli--tastes like take-out but much healthier (and cheaper). Yum.

Tacos! TJ's has good lean ground meat and tortillas, avocado, salsa, etc.

I'm keeping my eye on this thread... I love TJ's and being directed to quick and easy TJ meals is even better.

family size meat and cheese lasagna. 1 lasagna usually feeds 2 adults in my house.

frozen breaded cod with tater tots or fries

shrimp tempura, rice, and edamame

plain baked chicken, whole wheat pasta, and TJ's pesto

Thanks for all the suggestions!

Ended up doing the pizza last night - my DD liked helping roll out the dough - but I'm saving ALL of these ideas, since sadly, this is not the first time I've found myself in a "crap, it's 2pm, I'm at work, the only grocery store I can walk to is TJ's, and there's nothing in the house for dinner tonight!" panic.

Turkey chili - fresh ground turkey meat, jar of salsa, can of beans (drained), maybe frozen corn or peppers.
