I posted a humorous response, yet I think this might be a sneaky ad. but hell, maybe some folks benefited from it.

The info on picnic etiquette may be okay, but posting the business affiliation is clearly an ad. If she wants to get the etiquette information out great. But there doesn't seem to be an reason (other than gratuitous) to post her business name and web site.

Agreed. I was just coming here to post suggesting that the thread be moved to off topic or removed as a backhanded ad.

Please here this as friendly advice and NOT criticism. I am assuming that you are a new poster, and perhaps don't know the etiquette of this board. As others have said, advertising is frowned upon, and disrupts the community. I noticed you posted this as well:

We can't fault you for posting information that you are unaware was "against the rules." I am sure we have all stepped on toes when entering new communities. But now that you DO know that both of your posts will not be received well, I would stick with posting/responding as a parent and not as a business woman.

I've removed the thread based on a clear consensus of users that the post constituted advertising and based on the fact that most of us are aware that it is permissible to eat hamburgers with our hands.
