| I've somehow never been comfortable in these. Have only tried them on in store, mainly because most modern pants were of this style (!) I'm not looking for the majorly high rise sort, but just something that isn't so low on the hips, skin might get exposed, etc. Who doesn't want a body that can fit into anything, but this "style" just doesn't work for me. And to be honest, not sure how women find them comfortable. Anyone else finding it hard to get good fitting jeans/pants, that aren't hugging just their crotch (!) ? |
| ... and by "good fitting" I don't mean tight. So, feels more comfortable at the top (I guess "sitting at the natural waist"), and also flattering all the way down from there. |
| As a p.s., would enjoy hearing if anyone has recommendations for pants they like that are more "normal" rise. Affordable pricing/brands. Thanks... |

Take a look at the "high rise" style jeans at Gap and Old Navy. They fall a few inches below the navel, and for me at least, eliminate muffin top.
Low-rise is pretty much out now, anyway! |

Depends on what you mean by low-rise. If you mean the super duper low rise there the zipper was maybe an inch long at best, yeah. those are out.
But mom jeans aren't exactly coming back in style, either. Look for something that falls "just below the waist." You could check out Lands End, they actually have some jeans that fit the description of what you are looking for. |
| Hey there PPs, OP checking back ... Thanks for the info/links. I guess I did mean those super low rise styles. For me, though, even modestly low rose tends to be not comfortable. I'll check out those styles you're suggesting ... |

Check out this blog post for a few more suggestions on higher waisted jeans.
