restless newborn & concern of digestion problems

DS is almost 3-weeks and appears restless at times, kicking his feet and arms which appears slightly more frequent following a feeding. Is this a sign that he is not digesting formula well or just typical newborn behavior?

Typical newborn behavior. Their neurological systems are not fully developed yet. Swaddling can be comforting and calming for them.

Karp's "Happiest Baby on the Block" (book or dvd) is a great resource for the first 3-4 months.

Pretty typical.
Are you bfing? One thing you may want to watch is your diet and see how it affects him. With two of my children, I had to eliminate dairy products from my diet and it made a huge difference. Good luck!

Keep baby upright for longer after feeding to be sure the gas goes up for a burp.
