anyone had a "tubal cannalation", where they open your tubes with wires?!

My HSG showed that my tubes are blocked, though no scarring or anything, so my RE thinks a tubal cannalation is likely to have good results. Anyone go through this procedure? It sounds a little scary - especially the fact that it's done using radiation to guide the doctor. I don't like the idea of radiating my eggs (or my own body!). But since we have no other problems, my RE thinks that unblocking my tubes could be all we need to do, which would be great. Anyone gone through this?

Who is your RE? I would ask about the risk of future ectopic pregnancy. I might also get a second opinion. It would be great if that worked for you.

OP here. I'm at Shady Grove. They said there is a higher risk of etopic pregnancies, but the doctor they recommended for the procedure has so far not had anyone have an etopic pregnancy.
I read that a decent percentage of women with IF have blocked tubes, so it would seem that this or IVF are the only ways forward (and this is much cheaper, if it works). Anyone else try it?

I had it done and got pregnant on my own 3 months later, I'm very grateful to my RE for recommending a less costly treatment.

my friend had blocked tubes and was told she could never have children. She went on homeopathic medication for 1 year. After 8/9 years of TTC she was pregnant, and then again a year later with her 2nd. No surgeries, and all natural pregnancies.
