Germany's Announcement

They are preparing for Greece to default. Predictions anyone? Mad Max days on the horizon in terms of the ramifications to the global financial system?

OP here. Thinking about buying gold bullion and gas masks for DH for Xmas? Yes?

I'd go with the wilderness survival kit. If there's global financial meltdown, DH will still be alive, but he won't have a job.

Don't worry we watch Survivorman all the time. I feel we got that covered, much like Alaskian crabbing.

Countries used to default all the time and the rest of the world hardly felt a hiccup. Greece should be calling in its creditors and dictating terms. The bankers may finally have to take a financial hit. That's a tragedy for them, but I suspect the rest of us will not be too concerned.
