Well let's take a look at what they actually said.
Heads of investment funds want the government to subsidize infrastructure projects. Wait a minute, that's stimulus, right? No. They aren't asking the government to build bridges. They want the government to subsidize THEIR infrastructure projects so that they can make extra profit off of the government money. Imagine hedge funds want a handout. Go build your own projects, the government doesn't need to slice off a piece of profit for you. CEO's want lower corporate taxes and reduced regulations. Wait, aren't the current business taxes the exact same as during the Bush years? Was Bush a tax and spend liberal? And wasn't the financial collapse in part due to lack of oversight? But they want rollbacks. Great. They want an end to political infighting. OP this one's back at you. Small Business wants easier credit. Wait, what? Wasn't that again the way we got into this mess to begin with? They also want people to buy more of their stuff. 'Kay. And they want lower taxes. See Bush. Tech CEO's don't care about tax cuts. They want to be able to get qualified people into their companies, and immigration laws are getting in the way. They have jobs to fill and no qualified Americans to fill them. OK Republicants, let's do some real immigration reform so that we don't ruin our future by scaring off the engineers and scientists that our kids are too lazy to become. Economists want a basket of things but the biggest is a huge public works project. Some of them want tax cuts, but the final point of the economists: "You have to believe that the No. 1 reason for lack of hiring is corporations don't see demand for their products" And there it is. There is insufficient demand, and no government will create that demand. Consumers and corporate purchasers are reducing their debt instead of buying, and until that is done sales are not going to budge much. |
Yeah - I think the whole thing is pretty funny.
"CEOs want lower taxes, more spending in their business areas." Stop the presses. |
A bunch of hands sticking out as usual. The only difference is that they have nice watches on. |
Oh noes! They might stop creating jobs if they don't get what they want! |
I'll hold my breath until I turn blue - or until I decide that I'd like my stock to go up and want my bonus. |
the answer is.....more borrowing? how stupid can you be.....we've been living off leverage, borrowing and irresponsibility since the dot.com boom. give it up, pretending, wishing, getting angry, hoping isn't gonna work. america's advantage is freedom, the president of this country should be encouraging people to get rich and leaving them alone. the rich are not the same people all the time. new people get rich and others fade away all the time. it's called living an exciting life and the u.s. offers it when nobody else does. it can draw productive people from all over the world. when operating property it can crush chinas command economy which is unpredictable and scary to the citizens. if i were running i would build 50 nuclear plants with corresponding security ( jobs that make the country more independent and strong). drill, frak, everywhere...we are going to have our own energy and it will be cheap..f the middle east. scrap obamacare and pay doctors/pharm what they are worth(which is alot) draw the best medical people in the world and charge the world an f-load if they need to come here to access it. zero goverment services for illegals...no school,no welfare, require citizenship at hospitals or one-time treatment then jail-time/deportation. encourage people to get rich and follow thier dreams . the productive people should be thanked for their contributions of taxes and treated with respect. we are killing ourselves like a seriously depressed and mentally intelligent but twisted patient. |
Wow, the government should be building power plants and setting prices for medical care? What is this, communism? Today my doctor is paid what he negotiates with my insurance carrier. That's the free market. And power plants are built or not built by private enterprise, based on what makes economic sense. (Today, the free market says that nuclear power is too expensive.) And how will we have an American price for American oil? I suppose that will require export quotas and price controls? Or will Exxon and BP give us an American price because they are being nice? Way to go, Panty Sniffer. You just re-created communism. |
gas, coal, oil, nuclear all of it....cheap tell the communist epa to go f itself. drive china crazy. close our market to opec for anti-trust once we have all and more than we need. medicine is hardly a free market. the gov has its slimy hands all over it dictating that aids and pre-existing disease must be paid for by all of us and millions of nonsense coverage for morons everybody forced to pay for. a real free market would look vastly different. it would infuriate the socialist world as they lose their best and brightest while we get stronger and stringer with the almighty power of common sense. |
I don't know how you even make it through a paragraph like that. It's like listing to Manson. |
Panty sniffer, you are sounding more Cuckoo's Nest than usual today. Did you take someone else's meds at the nurse's station? I got news for you. In a free market, Exxon does not sell us cheap gas out of patriotism. The only way to get cheap gas is to make it cheap all over the world. Which we can't even come close to doing. And the socialist world has not lost its talent, even though we pay way more than they do. Wonder why? Because they have a better medical system than we do. |
then why do they come here for care?
http://biggovernment.com/publius/2010/02/02/canadian-premier-comes-to-u-s-for-health-care/ bwahhahhahahhaaaa...nobody goes there for the crappy low-skilled free health care! |
government cheese...goverment schools....goverment housing....va hospitals .....a horrible smelling campaign plane LIBERAL NIRVANA ! |
More like why do we go THERE: Cheaper, Better, even run by an American. |
Government Cheese program was created by Ronald Reagan. It began in 1992. The VA was created by a Republican and elevated to a Cabinet level status by George HW Bush. Government schools were created by our founding fathers. .....BWAHAHAHAHAHA! |
