More FIOS - Anyone expanded DVR storage with an external drive?

The Verizon website makes it sound like adding an eSATA drive should be easy, and pretty cheap at $100. Any success stories out there?

I have not but I saw something about this feature coming in the latest HD DVR update.

Yes, but I use a TiVo (with cablecards provided by FIOS), not the FIOS-rented DVR.
