Question about washing methods - dry clean vs. wash

Anonymous
Specifically I bought a Ella Moss cardigan for a great price on Amazon, but see that it says dry clean (not dry clean only) on the tag - its 96% rayon and 4% spandex - do you think I can get away with washing it?

I hate to share this but Amazon had some pretty fantastic prices on a few things including Paige jeans.

I think you can washing it on cold in the delicate cycle, and then laying it flat to dry.

I have accidentially washed so many cardigans /sweater (cashmere etc) and they came out fine.

If you have the time, then handwash. But, I don't, and I just wash everything in delicate/cold. I also use fairly gentle detergent.

Do you have a washer that is actually gentle? If so, I'd wash it on gentle/handwash and lay it flat to dry. With those materials, it should do fine.

The other option is drycleaner in a bag - that stuff you use in the dryer. It does well for things that don't need a lot of ironing. Just take out immediately and hang up before it wrinkles. But I try to avoid even using that now - to avoid the chemicals.
