AP exam scores not sent to the college?

Anonymous
My student started college and was surprised to learn that the AP exam scores were not sent to the college designated, even though my student put down the college code on the answer sheet that is supplied at the back of the exam book (the book lists all accredited schools in the U.S. with their codes for this purpose). Student was not the only one at the school who had this problem with AP scores not being sent to the college. Given that these students had decided which college to attend by May 1, the students certainly knew which school those AP exam scores needed to be sent to by the time the tests were taken (week of May 9). I was wondering if anyone else had this problem when their students got to college recently?

We called the AP exam company and had the scores sent, but of course no one would admit that they had messed up anything.

They also messed up the name of our school, DD's results appear to come from some school in southern VA not Fairfax.

Mistakes have happened forever. Instead of sending a copy of my SAT scores to my high school, they sent them to a tiny town in the middle of the state. The principal of the high school in the tiny town sent my scores to me with a nice note.... So fight the test folks, especially since you paid them big bucks for the AP test.
