Infertility Support and Discussion
I'm day 8 of my cycle and I have to go back in the a.m for sonogram and blood work but my RE kind of hinted that I might trigger tomorrow. How hard it is to do the trigger shot?
Not hard but good luck. Dominion are a bunch of jerks.
Which one is your doctor? There are a few of us on this board that have had awful experiences with Dominion. Good luck in that regard... you'll need it! The trigger shot, on the other hand, is not a big deal at ALL and I am petrified of needles. I had myself so worked up it was ridiculous. I iced the area beforehand to numb it - not sure if it was because of that or not, but I hardly felt the needle go in at all.

Hi there-
Your trigger shot is a piece of cake. It's more intimidating thinking about it than actually doing the shot. Good idea to ice first - it really helps. My husband and I just tried our first round of NCIVF. We had our egg retrieval on Monday - good mature egg, but got the call yesterday that it didn't fertilize - even with ICSI. Have a follow up next week. Needless to say, we're heartbroken. Trying to decide now to pull out the big guns and go for full IVF. Originaly we stayed away from stimulated IVF because I have some issues with having multiple embryos left over (and the drugs really mess with my endo) - but now, knowing that we couldn't even get 1 to fertilize, we're thinking of doing the whole sha-bang. |
I did NC IVF and it worked when a medicated cycle did not. I think you really have to ask a lot of educated questions though about whether your body is likely to produce a good egg.
We had better luck with NCIVF because of my endometriosis and male factor, it took 3 tries but it was better than one cycle of clomid IUI for me.
