Can't comment on the veracity of this, but it mirrors my experience at the state legislative level.

I think it's a great piece; I agree with almost every word of it.
But he's a little late to the party, isn't he? I know I have been thinking and saying almost all of that for over a decade, Ralph Nader has been saying it for decades, and more popular figures like Bill Maher have been saying it for years. One of the few bright points for me in the last few years has been the increasing number of people who share these views. (Of course, like Maher, they're all just going to go vote down-the-line Dem again in 2012.) So, I agree with it all, it was well written, but there was nothing fresh about the ideas. I do wonder how he went that long as a Rep staffer. I would think that about the only place these views would be welcome would be Bernie Sanders' office. Talk about being in the closet. |
Thanks for sharing, OP. Very insightful article. It's depressing to watch what these people are doing to our country. |
Good article. I am voting third party for president and probably will stick with Van Holland in congress. I think both parties are pushing us to a bad place, it's just that one party wants us to get there faster. I almost would rather have the Republicans in charge so the train wreck can happen sooner and we can start all over. |
Is that your typo, or did your iPhone "correct" Van Hollen? |
