Yeah this is what people mean when they say the stock market is not the economy. But it is possible to have record high stock markets and amazing job numbers, i.e. our previous President.

I believe that my mom would be less maga if she thought she was going to live to see the consequences. But at 80, she's just gleeful that she's making a lot off her investments. "It's coming in faster than I can spend it!"

She literally shrugs at the bloodbath in my profession, and leaves the room when I ask her what she thinks the economy will look like for her grandchildren.

Neither Trump or Biden has ever done anything that has had a noticeable impact on the economy in a manner most Americans would consider helpful.

This post didn't age well. Trump managed to tank the US economy in 8 months from "the envy of the world" that he inherited from Biden.

The markets are beyond irrational now. They keep pumping values up like it’s a strong economy underneath.

When the bloodletting starts, it will be a bloodbath. Grandma better be prepared.

What's your professional. And how can you have a positive relationship, mother or no mother, with someone who cares so little for your children's future?
