Good artisan cheese delivery?

Anonymous
I want to give the gift of cheese. I can google, of course, but wondered if anyone had a good experience with an outfit making superb cheeses that will deliver to NJ.

Thanks!

What about Cowgirl Creamery? I've heard only good things. They have a shop in DC.

I'm a fan of cougar cheese from Washington State University.

My parents got us the Cheese of the Month Club a few years ago for Christmas. The cheese was very good and you get a really wide selection. It was fun to see what arrived each month. I think they also have a plan where you can have more control over what types of cheese you get.

Beecher's is awesome! They are based in Seattle (looks like a NYC location now too - yay!) but will deliver anywhere.

Their mac & cheese is delish too!

Zingerman's.

I've used Zingerman's a few times - not a huge selection, but their shipping price is more reasonable than others and the customer service is good.

I believe Artisinal in NYC also has a big program - my colleague has gotten shipments from them, although I don't know anything about price/service.

We once received a to-die-for delivery of cheese from Artisanal in NYC. I suspect it is very expensive, but the cheese was top-quality.

Here are two of the very best sources. I have used them for ages. Delivery is overnite in special boxes to keep cheeses cool.
Artisanal Cheese in NYC - www.artisanalcheese.com - Absolutely outstanding selection. Ships Fed Ex.
igourmet - www.igourmet.com - Terrific selection of artisanal cheeses, plus other gourmet goodies. Ships UPS.
