| How many students are in your child's FCPS elementary school class? |

LAst year we had 5 rooms of first graders that had 22-23 each. This year, they turned those 5 classrooms into four classes of 2nd graders... so we have 30 kids in each class. Not happy about it. Waiting to see what kind of assistants/assistance each room will receive.
Kinder classrooms have 28 this year (which is typical); they always have an assistant. |
| 25 in 4th grade. 24 in 1st grade. |
| My son's kindy class ha 20 last year. This year, in first grade, his class has 27. |
| 22 in 2nd grade, 24 in 5th grade (AAP center) |
| 30 in 4th grade. AAP center |
| 27 in Kinder. |
| 5th grade: 27 |
| 22 in First Grade, 22 in Third Grade (but I hear that Second Grade has 28 in each class). |
| 28 in K. Hoping a couple more kids come in, because I believe over that and they have to hire another teacher. |
|
21 in K. |
| 24 in 1st. I didn't count for 4th, probably around 24. |
This is our situation. I hypothesized that they reduce in first b/c of learning to read, and in third b/c of SOL testing. Teacher confirmed this. I'm not thrilled about having 30 in second grade, but I can understand the administrative angle of giving the SOL test-takers the smaller classes. I'd make the same decision if I were the principal. |

26 in 3rd Grade AAP at our Center. Last year we had 20-22 in each class. We do have the same number of classes for 3rd grade AAP.

| 21 for one child, 24 for the other. Last year there were 29 kids in the older child's class. |
