Same Game, Different Captain...

Hold on...that doesn't make any sense at all. The Reps say that he's a radical leftist, and the Dems say that he's way better than Bush was, so if there's one thing that's clear, it's that he's completely different than Bush. These "facts" I keep hearing cited to the contrary are just distracting background noise.

Well, when Obama starts a war, the dictator is overthrown, it costs 1/100 what it cost Bush, and there's not complete lawlessness after the dictator is overthrown.

Plus, Obama got bin Laden.

Obama seems to do be doing better at this breaking international law than Bush II did. Ironically, if Obama is a one-termer it is because of domestic concerns (a la Bush I).

In fairness to Obama, I think there are substantial differences in court picks and very big differences in agency operations. The latter is easy to overlook.

I suppose one could see some irony in this:

http://news.yahoo.com/libyan-rebels-round-black-africans-130723394.html

"Rebel forces and armed civilians are rounding up thousands of black Libyans and migrants from sub-Sahara Africa, accusing them of fighting for ousted strongman Moammar Gadhafi and holding them in makeshift jails across the capital."

"In the Khallat al-Firjan neighborhood in south Tripoli, Associated Press reporters saw rebel forces punching a dozen black men before determining they were innocent migrant workers and releasing them."

http://pajamasmedia.com/blog/mounting-evidence-of-rebel-atrocities-in-libya/

"...harrowing video evidence has emerged that appears to show atrocities committed by anti-Gaddafi rebels. Among other things, the footage depicts summary executions, a prisoner being lynched, the desecration of corpses, and even a beheading. The targets of the most serious abuse are frequently black African prisoners. "

Under these circumstances, Obama may want to hold off on any victory laps through Libya.

It does not take much to be better than Bush. He is the one who started the useless iraq war because of non-existing weapons of mass distruction

Bush is a conservative, but Conservative <>Bush. Bush was a really incompetent conservative.

I admit it's a quibble but he did not start the war because of the WMD, he just used them to sell a war he was determined to start for any reason available.
