| I've bought from zulilly a few times and been disappointed. The quality of the merchandise seemed really low, but maybe my expectation was too high considering how inexpensive everything was. Since there are always different designers and everything always looks so cute, I'm always tempted to buy more, but don't want to be disappointed again. Especially since they generally don't accept returns. What experience have others had with Zulilly? |
|
I'm very selective about what I buy. I tend only to buy things from designers I know and like. Since there are no returns, it's risky buying things you don't know anything about. Their size charts are sometimes not reliable, another problem. Finally, I always double check prices elsewhere. I've seen things on zulily that are actually more expensive than the same exact item on Amazon or the manufactuer's website, so don't assume it's a good deal. I also hate how long the shipping takes.
Having said all that, I do buy sometimes. It is what it is. Oh! And always go to retailmenot.com before placing your order because there are often additional coupons. I just used one that took $10 off my order over $50. |
| I am underwhelmed. I find really cute stuff there, but their price reductions are outgunned by the likelihood that they will be out of the thing you want before you can place your order, how long their shipping takes, and (in 2 instances for me), eventually finding out a couple weeks after ordering that they oversold an item and cannot send one to you. I got store credit both times, but it's still a long wait for a damn tshirt. |
| Meh. I agree - some of the stuff is cute, but it's not always that much cheaper than you'd get elsewhere, especially when you factor in shipping. However, we got a wishbone 3 in 1 bike for 100 less than it was available anywhere else, and some other major deals. So it's worth checking out from time to time, but do your homework, comparison shop, and stick with brands you know or can find reviews of elsewhere. |
| OP here. Seems like others have had similar experiences. Such a shame! I want to love it! |
|
Same here OP. I was so pissed with my last purchase. The quality was horrible! The price was still expensive compared to other sales I've gotten elsewhere like Gymboree with gymbucks and end of season sales at other stores.
I'm not spending my money there anymore. Very very disappointed. |
| I hate the shipping fee, but otherwise actually really like Zulily. For the most part, I do stick with better known brands (Flapdoodles, Vitamins, iPlay) as well as things like toys. I also really only buy things that are really deep discount, like I've never bought anything over $15 so even if quality is a bit lower it's not a huge deal. |
| I usually just buy toys there, our cardboard castle just arrived. Right in time for Hurricane play~~ |
|
I just don't like how long it takes to get things...
|
I only order with that in mind, my items wont arrive for a few weeks. Who really needs anything they order from Zilily right away? |
| I have ordered about six times in 18 months, and I stick to brands I know I like, so I have been pleased. There's an awful lot of really expensive trendy crap on there. And yes, always price compare. |
|
I was really upset that the cute toddler coats were all gone when I finally got to order them and found out they were being sold at our local TJMaxx.
Great since I made DD try them on and found out she needed a larger size than what was on their messed up size chart. |
| The shipping costs more than the order! Ridiculous |
| I generally only buy kids' brands that I am familiar with (although the genuine European brands have always been great, whether I recognize the brand or not). I stay far away from the women's wear- cheap, cheap, cheap. |

Bad. Ordered for baby clothes took almost 6 weeks. That's an eternity in baby time
Never again |
