Aftercare at our elementary school is full. Anyone have any advice/ideas? Hesistant to try a nanny or nanny share (if we could even find one) as dc is not a typical kid (HFA, lots of tantrums, anxiety etc.). We need help from 3 to 4:30pm. Yes, we should have figured this out earlier, and no we don't really want dc in aftercare anyway, but please be kind. It's been a craptastic week. |
where are you located? i have a HFA child too and trying to figure out aftercare...thought i would hire a private ABA teacher who would work with the child couple times a week. |
I have a SN kids in a DCPS and use an off-site aftercare that picks the kids up and brings them over. Agree that in our case, the structure of aftercare is better for him than a nanny or afterschool sitter. |
Can you share the name of the aftercare? Which DCPS are you in? |
Lafayette, and the aftecare is ccpc |
