Friend begging for miles on FB

OMG when I thought I've seen it all...

One of my FB friends is asking people on her list to donate her their miles so she can spend Christmas with her family in her home country. She has a job, her husband has a job, they go there at least once a year, her family comes to visit them once a year (they have pictures up all the time on FB, her brother is with her spending vac in California right now) and now this? She's saying that it's been 6 years since she spent Xmas with her family.

We worked together a few years ago that's how I got to know her. We became friends through work but we were never very close. She moved to another state and we talk once in a while over FB comments.

Come on! I stayed 6 years without seeing my family at all because we can't afford going back and forth. They don't even have kids yet! I just wish I could say something. Gah!

I don't see what the big deal is. It sounds like you're the problem, OP. If you don't want to read her FB posts, just block her.

I don't understand why this type of thing bothers people. If she were calling you up or knocking on your door and asking: that would bother me.

She's doing it virtually, isn't she?

And a bunch of people already posted on how hard it will be to gather enough miles to travel during Christmas only on miles. And they all were "sorry I wish I could help"
