Nothing to do with shampoos (besides the girl having a beautiful straight hair) but I almost cried... I think it is from 2008 but I just found out about it. I think they should make a movie about it

Powerful! I watched it without audio and it is even more griping just to see (as male violinist told girl) the expressions. Girl is beautiful. Why oh why, or how, can humans be so cruel? Thanks, OP. It was uplifting and challenging. |
| Cheesy. |
Op here: yes, I agree it is cheese, but still it would make a perfect movie.... one of those movies for when you want to feel warm and fuzzy inside Lighten up PP!

| Cheesy, but still a good commercial. The only quibble I have is that I believe violins are really pretty delicate. I don't know if the sound quality would be any good after it's been banged up and taped back together. |

too over the top
It's f-ing shampoo. |
| Was a Tiger Mom involved behind the scenes? |
| Silly. Over the top cheese. |

I worked with deaf children and saw from the VIP lounge how painful bullying against them can be
I'm in tears here! What an amazing commercial! I'd go 30 times to the theater to watch it if it was ever made into a movie. |

Interesting. My guess is that a frustrated filmmaker and/or writer who couldn't sell his/ her work to studios was involved, and could only get work in commercials. Nice that Pantene figured out a way to get the work produced, if that's the case.
I'm sure someone can find the real story. |
| I play the violin. I know she's not a real violinist but her bow wasn't even in the correct position on the violin. The bow was all over the place. Really distracting. Also, you could never just tape up a violin like that. It's a sweet story though but not enough to move me to tears. The girl had awesomely straight and shiny hair! |
