I was thinking of sending my son to Claremont Immersion. We are Spanish speaking immigrants, so it is very important to us that our kids are fluent in spoken and written Spanish and English. Claremont is within our school boundary. I would appreciate the opinion of anyone who has sent his or her kids there, or has first hand experience with this school

My friends with children there are very happy.
When we looked, we liked the principal at Claremont better than at Key (more intellectual), but we were zoned for Key. We ended up not entering the lottery. I hear great things about Campbel. |
Our son is going to Claremont for kindergarten in the fall. We went to the school last fall to meet the principal and talk with her about the program - we really thought she was great.
The program is going to have some great improvements starting this Fall -- more Spanish language arts, and music or art in Spanish (depending on the grade). They've also hired a new science specialist (science is also taught in Spanish). Good luck! |
