so Obama says and I hope he means this. |
He said he would get us out of Iraq and we are hitting our deadlines for that. So I think he means it. A big but forgotten part of the election was his commitment to wind down the wars, which the Republicans were resisting. Even if we have forgotten I think he will be consistent. It is interesting to see how the GOP candidates are all over the map when it comes to Libya and the other Arab Spring countries. |
"Arab Spring." Sharia spring is more like it. I'd bet a lot of money that no government that has been displaced by the recent uprisings will look anything like a democracy within 5 years. |
And that would be different how? |
3 of the four uprisings were thugs working in the U S interest. Now they are developing into thugs that are our enemies. This is all contrary to US interests...which Obama loves. |
What I love is that Republican presidential candidates don't know which way to run on all of this. They all think Obama is wrong but for opposite reasons. Hilarious. This shows the difference between being President and being part of the peanut gallery. |
If he starts bombing Libya honestly he needs to give back the damn peace prize WTF. |
I assume that you have been under a rock for the past 6 months? |
Do cruise missiles count as bombs? Seriously were you trapped in a mine for the last four months? |
Let's just take a look at Panty Sniffer's old quotes on Libya:
You then went on and on to say glowing things about McCain, who was arguing for even more aggressive military action to end the Qadffi regime. So Obama takes on Qaddafi, he's going to fall, we didn't take on casualties, and your assessment today is that Obama did the wrong thing. So he was wrong not to take the decisive action called for by your hero John McCain. But when he does do it AND succeeds, he is wrong again. Not for lack of success, but because the whole thing is against US interests. Great, just great. Can you please stick to the same point of view for at least six months? |
Thanks for the snark as always. I meant more bombing today, tomorrow, next week. |
Who are you responding to and what do you mean by this post? |
I knew they were bombing Lybia already? |
The present president doesn't know what he is doing. His only reason for no overt interference is his fear of his numbers going even lower. I fear Libya will be another Iraq. |
Uh, maybe you haven't noticed but John McCain wasn't elected president. He's the one who wants to go in with all guns blazing an criticized Obama's restraint. But it doesn't matter to you. If Obama did it, it was wrong, according to you. Really indulgent thinking processes. |
