Food, Cooking, and Restaurants
Can you recommend a restaurant for sushi in this area? Great food plus great atmosphere would be ideal. Thanks!
Authentic Japanese: Tachibana in McLean. All DH's Japanese clients want to eat there when in town. It's always filled with Japanese families (and lots of other types, too).
Not sushi zen in Arlington. Bad service. I would not recommend it at all.
We like Tachibana, too, but it's a bit pricey for run-of-the-mill, I-don't-feel-like-cooking nights. For those we go to Ichiban on Dominion in McLean. It's about 75% as good as tachibana, but only 50% the price.
Koi Koi on Broad Street
another vote for Tachibana.
another vote for Tachibana and Ichiban. I grew up in Tokyo, and they both remind me of my childhood.
