Looking for a smallish OB/GYN group in lower MoCo

I used Reiter, Hill and Johnson as my OB/ GYN group for DC#1. Now I am pregnant with DC #2 and am hoping for a different (more intimate) experience. I hope to find a smaller practice where I see up to three or four doctors (not 8 or 10). Does anyone have any recommendations for a smallish OB/ GYN group in lower Montgomery County (Bethesda/ Rockville/ CC). I don't really care where at which hospital they deliver. TIA!

I recommend Midwifery Care Associates (http://www.midwiferycareassociates.com/). Their office is in Bethesda, and they deliver at Shady Grove Hospital. I guarantee will get exactly the "intimate" experience you are looking for, in addition to competent, caring, thoughtful, open-minded, and respectful care providers. Even if you are initially suspicious at the thought of seeing midwives, I *strongly* encourage you to at least go to one of their information nights before you rule them out. You will love them!

Dr. Richard Footer in Bethesda. He is a solo practitioner. His wife is the nurse and office manager. It is nice to be greeted by name when you walk through the door! I also liked the fact that Dr. Footer does all of the labwork himself and answers his own page. He only delivers at Holy Cross.

I second Dr. Footer. I switched to him after delivering #1 with Georgetown. Left G'town because my OBGYN left there. I then went to Reiter and Hill - they claimed they didn't take my insurance (they do) so my appt. was cancelled but thank god. I could just tell by the waiting room that the place was another Georgetown - long lines, impersonal service. So I went to Dr. Footer and it was one of the best decisions I ever made.

Anyone else with recommendations? I also just switched to Reiter Hill from Capital Women's Care and it's the same thing ... but I want to deliver at Sibley or Gtown and I'd be willing to travel downtown if necessary ...

I can recommend Dr. Robert Footer (I think RIchard may be his cousin?). He is a solo practioner and has offices in Rockville on Montrose Rd. and in DC near AU. I switched from the CWC K Street practice for this second pregnancy and couldn't be more pleased with the personal attention. I have had no administrative hassles at all which is a refreshing change from CWC. Dr. Footer delivers at Sibley.

I second Dr. Robert Footer (you are correct that the other Dr. Footer is his cousin). He practices Mon and Wed in Rockville and trhe other days in DC. You might want to doublecheck his schedule. I never had any issues with this and only once did I see him in DC because I had to change my appt. at the last minute. His staff is awesome.

I second Dr. John Gschwend and his practice. He delivers at Sibley and you can also make appointments with him at Sibley on Fridays. I have been very happy so far with them.
