Mascara - upper lashes only?

Is it true you're not supposed to use it on your bottom lashes? Maybe that's why I can't wear it without looking like a raccoon.

I think it really depends on your lash type, eye shape, and make up style. I do wear mascara on my bottom lashes, but only one, light coat.

I only wear it on my top lashes - it just looks wrong on me if I put it on my bottom lashes. It stands out too much.

I only wear it on the top. If you're having the raccoon issue, you should probably skip the bottom as well.

I have blind lashes so I have to put on top and bottom. But maybe you are putting on too thick mascara or too many coats if you are getting the raccoon affect.

I only wear it on the top, it just looks odd on my bottom lashes. Once when I was having my make-up done I asked her not to put mascara on the bottom and she said "yes, with your eye shape, you only want it on the top lashes." So I do think it just doesn't work on some people. I think for others, like if you have blonde lashes, it probably looks better. Do what works for you.

I have long and very dark black eye lashes, on top and bottom. I only do my top lashes. If I do my bottom, I end up looking like I have furry or fuzzy eyes, or spider eyes. Too dramatic for my eye and lash type.
