| Has anyone in their early to mid 50s taken early retirement? If you have, how has it worked out? Are you glad you did it? What have you been doing (e.g., found another career or pursued hobbies)? Do you miss anything about your old job? I'm thinking about it and would like to hear from someone who has done it. |

| No, because my youngest child will finish college when I'm 59, and I can't see quitting work before the major expenses involving kids are finished. OP, what's your kid situation? |

i think I will work till 60 or 65...hopefully the body will hold out that long
probably go parttime after 60, though I don't know anyone who retired at that age, except military people, and they have gone into second careers |
