My daughter is only 8 months old, but I want to start collecting some good children's music that my DH and I could possibly enjoy as well (i.e. I heard the Jack Johnson Curious George soundtrack is good).
Any recommendations? Thanks! |

Am I the only one who hates Laurie Berkner?
ANyhow, I really like Nancy Cassidy. Also, he gets made fun of but I enjoy Raffi (as do my kids) However, I think everyone's favorites are the CD's we get from Music Together. Take a class with your DD, and you'll have active motions and memories to go with the music. |
| yes, my son loves the music together cds. he's three and we're still listening. when he was a baby they got us through many road trips. he also likes the putamayo childrens cds and the ralph's world ones. and raffi, of course. and the beatles. |

My kids love the Jack Johnson Curious George soundtrack. And I do too.
I can't stand most "kids" music. The also like Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, Lion King and other Disney classics. |
| Ralph Covert and the Bad Examples--love the song, "M-O-M-M-Y Needs C-o-f-f-e-e" |
| The Land of Nod CDs are great; through those I found my absolute favorite artist -- Elizabeth Mitchell -- get her album, it's just beautiful. Also, my daughter loves the Bruce Springstreen album of Pete Seeger covers, I think it's called "the Seeger Sessions' or something like that. It's basically all folk tunes. |
