40th birthday present idea?

A co-worker of mine is turning 40 and her husband is throwing a dinner party for her at a restaurant. While she is one of my work friends, we are not social outside of work. My husband and I are planning on attending the party. What do I bring for a gift? Would a nice bottle of wine ($50ish) be acceptable?

Please don't bring gifts to a for an adult party being held at a restaurant. Send it to her at home. Also, wedding gifts should not be brought to wedding at church or reception, they should be mailed. I used to have be a caterer and I had to hire two extra people just to watch the gift table, tape cards to gifts, and this was factored into cost. At that time, I paid $20.00 hour.
