New Job in DC, what would be a good abode option

My husband's got a new Job in Washington DC, and we are considering shifting from New Jersey. Which are the areas to look for an apartment Keeping in view the school district for my 2nd grader and the commute to work in DC Metro.

You need to share more information. Where is the job? What is your budget? What kind of place do you want (ex. more urban/ more suburban?)

We live in an apartment near Bradley and Wisconsin in Chevy Chase. My son goes to BCC and before that Westland and both are great. Our elementary is Somerset and while we didnt live here then I know other people love it.

We can walk to the metro, all 3 schools, Norwood Park which is lovely etc . . . I dont know your budget but we pay abou $1700 a month for 2 bedrooms 1 bath.
