Rediscovered instant pudding mix

Anonymous
Man, it brought back childhood for me. I picked up a box of vanilla instant pudding mix from Trader Joe's -- holy sh********t. It's good.

Yeah, I love it too. My favorite is the green pistachio one with the little "pistachio" bits in it...sadly, my kids do not seem to find it as delicious as I do, so I don't make it too often.

It's even better with a squirt of whipped cream on top.
Or do the pudding pie in the Graham cracker crusts from the grocery store. I like to layer coconut creme and chocolate.

So simple, but so good.

Yes, the Trader Joe's vanilla pudding mix is sooo good. I was pleasantly surprised. It's more like French Vanilla. The chocolate is just okay.

I also saw a review in a magazine about grocery brownie mixes. TJ's truffle brownie mix won... I'm gonna try that out next. God I love that store.

TJ's brownies are so good! They are so rich and chocolately!

My grandmother always makes her banana pudding with vanilla cook & serve! Yum! Time to head back south!

They are so good. Don't waste them in kids--they freeze really well too. We moved and the closest TJs is 5 hours away. My mom brings me TJs stuff when she visits though. I made the brownies one day and had to leave for an appt while they were cooling. Got home and DH and his buddy had fed almost the whole pan to the kids, I almost killed him.

TJ's brownies are even better if you add 1/2 cup chocolate chips.

I found this thread because I was searching for interesting things to make with instant pudding!

Just bought some yesterday---trying to save money.

Sure does bring back childhood memories.

Darn shame I waited until I have an empty nest before buying it!
