I appreciate that he traced it back that far. I don't know about that one event, but that is about when the big Republican lies started:
- government is so incompetent that it's better to give collective property away to rich people
- trickle-down works
- government can't change poverty
- the poor are the enemy of the middle class

That's when the wealth and income disparities started exploding.

Since then, the Dems have bought into the first three whole hog, so the mainstream media never question them.
