need to take kids to a wedding abroad in the fall

I have to take my ES kids out of FCPS to go to a wedding in Europe this fall. Festivities start Thursday eve. there (i.e. morning here) and allowing a day or two for the kids to rest (otherwise they will fall asleep in the afternoon after we get there) I'm thinking of just taking the kids out for the whole week. Does this qualify as an excused absence for FCPS?
