Obama is off to New England for vacation next week

Must be real hard work being the reality show president.

I heard he actually slept during the night this week, too.

You can tell just how much of a center-right Republican Obama governs as when the unhinged Teabaggers can't actually come up with a critique other than that "He's going on vacation", or "He's a terrible bowler!"

Terrible--especially since Congress works so hard in August.

He needs to rest up to deal with the GOP. The man is entitled to a vacation.

Maybe the presidency and congress should get two weeks and a few sick days? Of course they would not be able to take the time till after one year in office etc.

Call it leadership. Skip the vacation, stay in DC and show you're serious about tackling the nation's problems. Be a LEADER not a follower. Is he waiting for Congress now? Not run off on vacation like you've been so hard at work. Plus he's been playing golf every weekend anyway.

PRETTY sure most presidents work much harder than we do when not on vacation.

I once heard Clinton talk about how the terrible physical burden of being in Congress, primarily the constant air travel, especially for House members, who are always campaigning. He pointed out that our country is run by people who have been severely sleep-deprived for years.

MMM MMUH MMHA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!

Republicans criticizing a Democratic president for going on vacation! You guys seem to forget that the idiot in the White House from 2000 to 2008 spent most of his life on vacation on his ranch chopping wood. Maybe he thought he was a young Lincoln, or something.

W spent almost three times as many days on vacation as Obama during his first year--69 to 26. If you count going to Camp David, the record is even worse.

And Democratic presidents take overwhelmingly less vacation than Republican ones--apparently the vaunted values of hard work and responsibility Republicans pride themselves on is only good for others...poor Republicans, perhaps?

Entitled? Why? The country is in such a mess that I would have thought that vacationing is all that he has done since he took office. His wife, Her Imperious FLOTUS seems to nothing but take vacations. Thank God, he won't be re-elected.

P.S. Yes, I do mean "imperious."

Yes, actually based on the law that they JUST signed, Congress makes the next move. They form the super-committee.

Thanks for the laugh. Us Dems are really worried about the likes of Bachmann beating Obama in 2012....

He's not up to the job. It makes no difference if he is working or not. By the way, he golfs even worse than he bowls.
