New to DC. Desire bilingual daycare (center or in-home) in the next 6 weeks.

We just relocated to DC and WOW!! I had no idea there would be waiting lists up to 1 1/2 years for daycare. If anyone knows of a bilingual daycare option in the DC (Northeast or Northwest, as I work near Washington Hospital Center) or Silver Spring, Maryland I would GREATLY appreciate the information. Our daughter is 4 months old now and will need to be in daycare in the next 6 weeks when we both return to work.

| Bright Start on Kennedy St., NW. Don't know if it would work with your commute. Also, might want to look into in home care since they usually have shorter or no wait lists. |

Welcome to DC! We have room for your 4 month old daughter. I watch up to 6 children in my home with a Spanish speaking teacher. I speak English to the children, while she speaks Spanish (she is fluent in English as well). We go outside every day to the playground, zoo, or library. Our meals and snacks are usually organic, fresh, and preservatives-free. Hours are M-F, 7am-6pm, and we are located in Adams Morgan.

JH Child Development Center is a home day care located just a few corners of the metro station on the Georgia Avenue (Green Line) station and Columbia Heights Metro Sation (Green Line and Yellow ). JH serves from 8 am-5: 00 pm. Children will be taught and instructed in English and Spanish, creating a bilingual environment where they can thrive, learn and have fun. Learning does not only take place at the gates to provide children with another dimension of the retention of learned skills.
