Green cosmetic and cleaning products

Please recommend your favorites - I'm slowly trying to do an overall of the products that are in our house and that we use as toiletries, cosmetics, etc...My concern is avoiding unnecessary chemical exposure while still having products to use that are convenient, relatively affordable and do what they are supposed to do.

We use Seventh Generation dish soap, bathroom cleaner, all purpose cleaner. Vinegar and water (50/50 I think) is a really simple cleaning solution. Burt's Bees shampoo and conditioner are great too.

Check out Roots. They have a great selection of cosmetics - expensive, but nice.

I have tried to switch to both over the past years with limited success.

Seventh Generation is ok for countertop cleaners but I found their dishsoap along with Mrs. Meyers were terrible dealing with anything a little bit greasy. I just went back to Dawn.

For cosmetics, I tried a couple natural mineral makeups - the most recent was Everyday Minerals - but they just were not as good as Bare Essecentuals (sp?) in composition and I ditched them also.

I do like the Alba sunscreen made for faces.
