Venting...could use a smile

Hi all.. Just venting.. today's my wedding Anniversary... My husband works overnight, and is working.. My daughter is asleep now, but she was sick this evening..

So I spent the evening of my wedding Anniversary alone cleaning vomit..


I know that I am really blessed.. I am just feeling blah right now and wanted to vent. Thanks.

II know it can suck like this sometimes. But look at the overall quality of your marriage. In the end, that's what counts. Hope your LO feels better soon, too.

OP here, you guys are right.. I am actually blessed.. Just having a negative debbie downer moment..

As far as DD goes, I'm not sure, she was really tired but said she was feeling better.. I'm trying to decide if I should cancel our plans for the morning..

Anyway, Still have quite a bit to finish up for the night so it would probably benefit me to work on it instead of complaining about it. :p

Hey OP, did you post by chance about a week ago, asking for ideas to celebrate your anniversary (it was today, Aug 6)? Sorry to hear things didn't go as planned, regardless if it was you or not.

funny, I didn't see "vomit" on the list of what the recommended anniversary gifts are. (50 = gold anniversary, 25 = silver. Perhaps the 4th anniversary is the vomit anniversary?)

Hang in there. Bright side: next year's anniversary will totally kick this year's anniversary's ass.

LOL I didn't look this year (it's our 6th!) But if Vomit is a traditional gift, I think I'm going to stop following those traditions lol

21:54, yeah, that was me.. I didn't know when I posted the Anniversary stuff, that they just lost a few people at my husband's job, and his schedule was going to go crazy... It happens, and the paycheck will be nice

I just went to tuck in DD again, and she woke up, asked for more water, and told me her belly felt alll better!

Now that everything's done, and I'm relaxing with my arbor mist (embarrassing, but it's cheap, sweet and alcoholic and quite frankly, I love it!) I realize that I was kind of being a drama queen.. (it was DD getting sick...)
My husband came home this morning with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers and a nice card. Truth be told, Anniversaries are nice,but 21:01 really hit it on the head. My husband and I have a great happy marriage, our family is relatively very happy... Life is generally very good.. Thank you for listening to me vent when I was having a bad day..
