I am newly pregnant and so far, just fine on the morning sickness, nausea front. My husband cannot believe that I am still eating hot peppers with breakfast. Am I in the clear? When did your morning sickness start and when did it get really bad? TIA! |
Mine lasted 4-12 weeks. It started so early that that was how I found out I was pregnant in the first place. I've had plenty of friends not get sick at all, sounds like you're one of the lucky ones! |
Mine has come in waves. I was completely fine until my 5th week and then was hit with a week of nausea. Then it went away for a few weeks. Now in my 9th week, it came back with a bang. Best of luck to you!

My 1st pg, I threw up the day I turned 6 wks and I didn't stop vomiting until my precious DD was born.
I'm now pg again and only a few days from 6 wks and I have a little nausea in the morning if I don't eat right away. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this pg goes a little better. OP - How far along are you? |
I had no morning sickness until about 6 or 7 weeks. I remember thinking I was one of the lucky ones and then it came on with a vengeance and lasted until about 12 weeks. |
Op here. I am 6.5 weeks along. I had only a little evening sickness with DS. Am hoping for a girl this time and as my mom (mother of 2 girls) continually repeats, morning sickness=girl. Thanks for your responses! |
Mine started week 8 and ended by week 12. It was only in the evening. I threw up only three times. The rest of the time it was mostly nausea (kind of like feeling sea sick) and I couldn't stand the taste/smell of certain foods (like chicken). I am pregnant with a boy. I heard the same thing about being more sick with girls due to the extra estrogen hormones. However, I also know people who were sick with boys and hardly sick with girls, so who knows? If you do start getting sick though, mac and cheese is a great comfort food for dinner. |
I had only very slight nausea on and off a few times from 6 weeks to 10 weeks. It was not that bothersome and I continued to eat really spicy foods. I'm 21 weeks along and having a girl. |
I am 30 weeks and *luckily* was never victim to morning sickness - and I'm having a girl. Everyone is different. |
I felt some mild nausea -- like mild motion sickness - literally five DPO, lasted a week, then got better.
Then weeks 6 - 10 I was pretty nauseous all day, every day. Not a lot of throwing up, but just felt horrible all day long. |
I'm only 4.5 weeks along and have no morning sickness, although it sounds like it doesn't hit most people until weeks 6 or 7. In fact, I have no symptoms of pregnancy at all except for some dull, infrequent cramping. Makes me kind of worried, actually. |
I am 33 weeks and had no real morning sickness, and I am having a girl. I was queasy from six to twelve weeks, but never threw up. |
I sometimes felt a little ill in evenings during the first trimester. Nothing big, and no vomiting. NOW, in the third trimester (30-32 weeks) I have full blown "feel like I am always going to puke" feelings. |
I started with nausea at 7 wks and throwing up at 10 wks. Threw up almost every day until about 21 wks, then just occasionally. I'm now 26 weeks and, for the most part, feeling better. FWIW, I am having a girl. : ) |
For me it started at 7 weeks and only went until 11 weeks. Then the constipation hit... : )
