My Blackberry Tour is on its last legs. I want my next phone to take great pictures/video. As far as I can tell, no Blackberry does. I've looked around a bit online, and the IPhone 4 looks pretty good, but I'm not married to it...
If you moved to another Brand/OS from Blackberry, can you tell me about it? Did you find it hard to transition from the Keyboard and Trackball to a Touch Screen? My only real requirements are that it takes great pictures/video, and is relatively easy to use. I'm with Verizon in the Philly area, if that matters. Any input or suggestions are much appreciated! |
| I have an Android and I love it. It's the HTC Incredible on Verizon - no issues with calls dropping, 8mp camera, and the android app market has tons of free apps. Just make sure you install a task manager/app killer or else your battery will drain in a hot second. |
| Have you checked out the EVO from Sprint? I have heard great things about it and Sprints costs are competitive. . . |
| Love my iphone 4. Love taking pictures on my iphone - the ease of transferring/sharing pictures is amazing. Takes good pictures, too (not what you'd get from a real digital camera, but still decent.) Wait until October though - Iphone 5 is going to have a much better camera (8mp) . |
| I love my Blackberry Torch. Great camera and video, touchscreen, while still maintaining the BB keyboard. And it runs Flash. |
| Another vote for the torch. Camera is amazing and you get touchscreen plus a real keyboard. I loved it so much that I switch from Tmobile to AT&T. |
| droid pro from verizon. smart, takes good pics, has a keyboard. i really like mine. |

I have a work Bberry and recently switched from the Google G1 with a slide-out keypad to a iPhone-like Droid (the Samsung Galaxy S). I hate typing on a screen. HATE IT. When I tried it out in the store, I didn't really think I'd mind but dear god, it's awful. So you may want to look for phones that have an actual keypad.
P.S. On Amazon wireless, you can get phones for $0.01. It's totally legit--my sister somehow discovered it. Best kept secret ever. You get the same terms and conditions as by going directly to Verizon or whoever, you just pay a whole lot less. |
| Thanks for all the advice and input. |
