Where would you go for brunch to celebrate anniversary in northern Virginia?

Our anniversary is coming up and we can only get someone to watch the LO during the day, so brunch it is. Ambiance is key for us - we love a place where we can have a conversation and not rush. Good food is of course important too. Suggestions in Falls Church, Tysons, Arlington, or Alexandria?

For a special-occasion brunch, you can't beat Michel by Michel Richard at the Tysons Ritz Carlton.

The food at Michel is just eh. I'd go for 2941 for a special brunch.

The Westin in ballston has a nice brunch.

The Ritz at Pentagon City is nice as well.

OP here. Thank you for the great suggestions!

Whitlow's on Wilson. Seriously. Sit outside, eat crab legs, drink mimosa's, free parking. Great food, better service and won't be too expensive.

i haven't brunched at 2941, but I have lunched there and it is delicious. The view is amazing, too. Take some time afterward to go for a walk around the lake.

Eventide was good, maybe not fancy enough for an anniversary but you didn't specify if you wanted to go fancy

Lunch at L'auberge chez Francois. If it is nice you can sit outside. It is a slightly scaled down version of dinner at less than half the price - fixed price menu of 4 courses with a glass of wine for $38.

Eventide is delicious!

I found Eventide to be less than impressive. Not sure about their brunch, but they seriously undercooked my chicken at dinner the other night (pink inside) and when I complained all they said "oh, sorry. would you like something else?) no offer to comp the meal or anything. Won't be back anytime soon. The meal before this last one was also not something to write home about, just average. In my book, two strikes, you're out for a restaurant.

Bazin's is nice, but it might be too loud for what you are looking for. Has anyone tried the new Harth in Tysons?

I'd highly recommend Artie's in Fairfax, VA. It's a nice relaxed environment with a good brunch menu.
