Democrats lost!! No tax increases on America. Now that hard working president can go back to doing what he loves best, playing golf and posing shirtless while 10% of our country looks for work. That stimulus didn't do squat. We want our country back.

They certainly did, but not versus the Democrats, who are working hand-in-hand with them against the majority of people. Partially agree with you on the stimulus.

Oh but I thought Obama was all hope and change and that his policies would turn the economy around? Now all we have is higher unemployment, increased regulation, and less business confidence. No business owner wants to hire with him in office. Everyone is afraid.

If no dems had voted for it, all the republicans would have had to vote for it(including tp'ers) There would be primary blood letting on the republican side. But, dems are nice and let them off the hook. It is for the best, the dems would not want to make the republicans look bad and the dems will pay no price in there primaries. That's nonsense. No business owner wants to hire because the American consumer is not buying, whereas the rest of the world is buying lots and is cheaper to hire anyway.
And don't worry too much about the added regulation. The investment banks are busy working around it and we'll have another financial crisis very soon to please you.

Well either your policies DO or DON'T affect the economy. If they do, and these are the ones you want (ie spending cuts and no tax increases) then you should take credit or blame. If they don't affect the economy, what the hell were you thinking?

No real business person says that. Businesses hire for one and only one reason: to meet market demand. And no CEO screws himself because of the president in office. They aren't two year olds holding their breath until they turn blue. If there is money to be made, they will make it.

And the one big fear in the economy was this stupid stunt over the debt ceiling. If there is one thing that could screw private investment, it is the specter of a government default absolutely ruining the credit markets.

Spend a second reading financial news and you'll see that rather than small or ,arge business expanding they're eking out more productivity from their current workforce. Why hire one more worker when the current employees will work harder in this tough environment. Admit it that Obama is bad for business. America is a much more conservative country and people are tired of spend and spend. I heard an idiot democrat from Georgia complaining about federal workers being laid off. Encapsulated the thinking of democrats, that the government should create jobs not the private sector.
