progesterone suppositories

Has anyone else had to use these? They are DRIVING ME CRAZY. I feel like I am constantly leaking, for lack of a better word. They are incredibly uncomfortable. Am I missing something here? Does everyone feel this way? I have to use them twice a day.

Yes, they are icky. Some doctors prescribe daily progesterone intramuscular injections instead. That seems even more unpleasant. I guess there isn't clear evidence on which works best. Does anyone know what the research says?

That is how the suppositories are. Nothing different with your experience. Nice that you only have to use them 2x a day. I have to do it 3x. Yuck!

Having tried a few - the least amount of leakage and irritation is with Endometrin - the ones Dominion normally prescribes (little white bullet things) made me so irritated I was miserable, Prometrium I hear the same thing - endometrin - MUCH better

Yes, I used them twice a day also. Lay down for 10 min after insertion, wear a panty liner. Change panty liner as needed.

Be glad that you have availability to them, and that you have a doctor that prescribed them, and that you are pregnant - my friend did not have them, although she had more than one reason to get them, her doc nixed it as a 'fad', and now she's miscarried and is devastated!!!

PP here. I'm sorry I just realized that you (OP) didn't write whether you are pregnant, so if you don't know yet, I'm crossing my fingers that you are!!! Best of luck!!!!
My friend's miscarriage hit me hard, and I am so upset about her doctor's anti-progesterone attitude. I don't think it's made available enough.

OP here- I am NOT pregnant Believe me, I would not be complaining at all if I was! And if I get pregnant this cycle, I will definitely take back my complaints But, I do see what you mean and I think it is smart that my doctor prescribed them... they are just soo annoying! I am taking the above-mentioned ones that are particularly irritating, awesome. This better work!

I am pregnant, so am on week 6 of them -- and have to go another week or two. I'm so sick of the goo and stickiness that I actually considered asking my doctor for the IM shots for the last week. The bad news is that if you get a BFP you have to take them until the placenta kicks it at week 9-10. But of course, the good news will be that you're pregnant!
