South Asian grocery stores

Where in the area are there good South Asian stores to buy spices and other ingredients for making curries?

Thanks...

I know of several in Springfield but no idea if that's in your search zone.
Where are you located and what do you consider "south asian"?

OP here. By South Asian I mean Indian, Pakistani or Bangladeshi. I'm in southern MoCo but would venture across the American Legion Bridge if necessary

PP here. My spouse is from Burma so that's why I asked. He usually goes to our local Asian or Indian stores for speciality items. There is a large Asian/Hispanic mercado in North Springfield he goes to for fish and veggies but I'm sure you can find something closer to home. Good luck!

Langley Park, at the intersection of University and New Hampshire Ave, has quite a few places that carry those ingredients. The Halal grocery on University just East of NH is the one we use. But Whole Foods (and Super G) also carry many of the less esoteric ingredients.

Dana Bazaar in Rockville just off the Pike on Nebel.

Further up the Pike is Patel Brothers in the strip mall that has the Macgruders.

You can Google them to get the full addresses.

India A-1 Grocery in Arlington (Lee Hwy near Glebe) is not bad:

This is far from you, but in case others reading are in Arlington/Alexandria and looking for tips, there is a great south asian market called Ginger & Spice on Little River Turnpike & Braddock road in Alexandria. Large, very clean, good selection. Bollywood rentals, too. And a very nice Indian-fusion deli restaurant next door called IndAroma, owned by the same people. I drive there from North Arlington to do my family's shopping even though there are a number of closer places.

Far, far away from you, yep:

Ginger & Spice is nice - seconded. Very friendly, good selection, good prices.

Spices of Asia in Springfield on Backlick Road (I think? We go there but I have to admit I don't even notice the name/details that much as we pass it all the time) is good too.

If you're buying in bulk, though, might be worth the trip.
