Yeah, back talking is bad when her level is NWSL. Want to talk about market level sans endorsements? Sans USWNT which is driven on societal virtue signaling? Just check out her salary without the USSF subsidy.

Back talking on any level is bad because it undermines the authority of the coach….if the coach allows it. If he doesn’t allow it, it causes conflict which plays out like cancer. This is why college coaches pay attention to the personality of the recruit.

At the NWSL level they are suppose to take a professional approach.

Back talking a coach is good. They need it. They often at all levels but certainly that level do not know it all. Now you get fired if you do it if you are not a star. Ever watch Tom Brady. He has yelled at every coach he has except BB.

Back talking and bringing passion is good and most coaches don’t mind - it’s when a player is not coachable that is causes an issue. Really? Tom Brady? We are talking about small time / up and coming young professionals not hall of fame

Back talking is totally fine in pro sports. Most of you dont understand its a totally different environment. As long as you can keep it within the team there is usually mutual respect. Its ok if two teammates fistfight each other as long as left within the team. For those of you who dont know. This type of thing happens at EVERY pro sports team.

All that happened after the trade showed RB and LB they were right.

Now....was RB harsh on MP? Perhaps? But when you have a superstar not giving a star effort...why caudle?

Back talking is ok when the player has a valid point. Else it is a waste of everyone’s time and is whining. My guess is Pugh had not point which is why her career has tanked.

DP. There is no shame in needing time to mature and get your body healthy. She is playing well now and still has time for the USWNT. I wish her the best.

It’s a big jump from travel soccer to the pro’s. Big difference between playing against 17 year olds vs grown women.

Pugh was the youngest American to score in the Olympics in 2016 at the age of 18.

It's not that she needs time to mature, it's that she has regressed in her place with the national team and with the expectations of her being a future leader of the squad. She still has time, but it's fair to point out her form has dropped and her attitude has been factor noted at club and by Vlato.
