Celebrities are fair game for criticism, even ridicule and parody. And punching UP is never, ever wrong.

LOL at this idea that it is mean-girl behavior, to excoriate a celebrity on a public forum. Ha!!

I listened to the Sway podcast interview and was not impressed. Her answers did not seem authentic at all. I had no opinion going in but I really felt like she came across as “ oh gee” I wanted to write my truth and not just the happy version - knowing full well what she was doing.

So disappointing if she thinks she is a role model. We are to believe she is so smart and can hold her own with any world leader/ issue but had no idea Matt lauer was a sexual predator! She said there were “ a lot of extra marital affairs “ and she did not want to be “ gossipy.” Just no.

And really very embarrassing for her to share all. Why cannot anyone take the high road anymore. I do not want to know everyone’s true thoughts and feelings on everything.

Be a good person, learn from your mistakes, and do better going forward. Talk shows ( Oprah) started this over sharing and social media made it worse.

Diane Sawyer seems classier, more intelligent.

Katie's slide to obscurity starts now. Hope her personal relationships will sustain her.

+1 Agreed on Sawyer...a much more emotionally stable, self aware person. And more sophisticated, yes.
So the only bar set for women is Oprah or Martha? Katie has done remarkable things in her own right and so many of you just hate father sake of hating. It makes you feel included just to join a pile on. Sad. Guy here, btw

Other than doing the colonoscopy on air, I don't know of anything else remarkable she has done.

Quite dim but with the sharpest elbows! And as willing to take out a knee as Tonya Harding.

+1 I think her becoming Yahoo's global anchor was supposed to be some big thing but it never panned out that way. She was a pleasant face for a morning show. Not exactly Ida Tarbell or Diane Sawyer.

I have posted here in support of her but apparently her appearance in Boston last night was really bad and out of touch according to some people I know who went FWIW

40 years in television, a multi-millionaire, and a best selling book seems to be good accomplishments weather you like her not.

PP, you consider those accomplishments? I thought you were referring to actual professional accomplishments.

I'm sure it will please many on this forum to see her husband's recent Instagram post - showing thin attendance at her DC event (from his photo anyway - many empty chairs) - and he's asking people if they're coming tonight, as if there are still tickets on sale. :0
