| We, the shoeless. Yeah, not my thing either. Can’t blame the kid. The mind wanders, wondering where those feet have been. |
| Please. Not CTCL schools again. Please let this thread die. CTCLs are second tier no name overpriced schools for kids and parents desperate to think their schools are special. They’re not. |
| Mine because he didn’t like the fact that the road leading up to the main entrance had a pothole. |
Yes I did. |
PP with the UVA kid...no shoes? I think I have to agree with your DC! |
You’re not a kind person. And why do you care? You seem insecure. |
One thing I liked about the half dozen or so CTCL schools I visited is that they had very few students like this person. Go Buccaneers! |
They added programs in a desperate attempt to save the school which has had declining enrollment for the last 15 years or so. Not a good choice for a humanities focused student as they have cut art history and religious studies and are considering philosophy next. |
So do many, many other schools. They just don't cost as much as most CTCL schools, are just as good, and people have actually heard of them. |
I thought the appeal of these schools is that they cost half the price of a top 20 liberal arts college. Most of them give merit which brings the COA down to 40k. |
Which schools? Recommendations of schools would be helpful. |
Only if you’re good enough for top 20, in which case you go to the top 20. You’ll hear a lot of parents claim their kid turned down a top 20 for a CTCL school, but it’s rarely true. |
They all aim to make the cost of attendance roughly equal to the cost of attending your instate flagship. |
Ok but they aren’t expensive as PP claimed |
And yet they keep going up in the USN&WR rankings (among others). Imagine that. |
