I am all in favor of bringing the vaccine to people. Vaccinate every adult in the household in Ward 8, even those under 65. No need for multiple appointments. |

I'm all for getting poorer residents the vaccine. DC should allow elderly and their immediate household members to all get vaccines at the same time. No need for multiple appointments. Get as many shots as possible into arms as quickly as possible. We are fighting a war against time, too. You'd bet? How scientific LOL. BTW the Mayor has literally sent teams to knock on Ward 8 doors. Today's Post. And by the way, YOU CANNOT SIGN YOUR PARENTS UP AT SIBLEY, GW, MEDSTAR Etc. Hospitals call recent patients under this system; NOT the other way around. GFC. You have to register at these hospitals if you’ve been a recent patient. The hospitals don’t just call you up automatically. Idiot. I don’t know about the others, but you can’t sign up at GW. They are just calling people when appointments are available per their webpage linked from the DC vaccination website. If there is a link to register with GW, please share. |

DC is happily diverting vaccines to folks they know have insurance on record. Kind of makes you speechless for a "free" government provided vaccine. |

| So, I am 55, black, employed by a small business and live in Ward 3. With the way the city is conducting vaccinations I'll never be eligible to get a vaccination. Might have to use my parents Ward 8 address to register my family. |

I am not eligible as a senior, but if I were a Woodbridge VA based government employee I would be. (I work with them all the time) I am just postulating. Why would the zip code policy change when it opened up to the middle agers? |

Allocations change every week, both number of doses and where they go. I am confident that you will get a vaccine if you want one. |

| It seems like whatever method they are using for equity is not working, at least in Ward 4. When I went to get my vaccine there was a long line of people. Very few were POC. In fact the majority of POC who were there were the security guards. And this is at a community center on Kennedy St. My guess is white people in the prioritized zip codes are still signing up for the vaccine slots first. Anecdotal evidence, but I suspect it is happening in other areas as well. |

That would be smart of you. Of course, you probably have integrity. The city has created a lot of hoops to jump through for any resident and particularly Ward 3-- from having to be on certain hospital lists, to no city operated vax sites in Ward3, to zip code set asides (Im more OK with this than no vax sites), to the giveaway of half of DCs vaccines to MD/VA (see NBC report). |

There is a site in Ward 3 - see upthread Ward 3 has gotten the largest percentage of its seniors vaccinated Part of the "giveaway" was repaid -16,000 doses, as has been stated many, many times The problem in DC is scarcity. |
