Anonymous wrote:Speaking of the Wizard of Oz, there is such backstory about the film, it is considered cursed: in the scene where they fall asleep in the fields, the snow used was asbestos. The paint used on the Tin Man contained aluminum powder landing Buddy Edson in the Hospital and replaced, the Cowardly Lion’s costume was made from a real Lion’s Hide, the witch was severely burned from a failed pyrotechnic trick; Toto’s foot was broken when stepped on and can be seen limping.

Weren’t there also suicides on the set?

No, that is a myth.

It’s also their joke grunge song.

It’s a great song but do they any other popular songs?

They were huge in the UK!

Yep, I grew up (in London) with Blur and Oasis and all the other indie-pop bands of the 90s - the best! Alex James of Blur now lives in the Cotswolds and is an award-winning cheesemaker.

Jason Miller, who played the priest in the Exorcist movie, was married to Jackie Gleason's daughter. They have a son Jason Patric (80s movie star, dated Julia Roberts, was in that vampire movie).

Anyway, Jason Miller is originally from Scranton, PA. He wrote a play "That Championship Season", of which he won a Pulitzer.

Because of the way he treated his wife, Jackie Gleason had him blackballed in Hollywood.

He returned to Scranton, was a falling down alcoholic who was mocked by people at the bars (Farley's, for those Scrantonians reading this), until he finally passed away.

It's was really sad to see.

I want to live in the Cotswolds. One of the loveliest places I have ever visited.

I am not sure. Womanizing? But it mustve been bad to be blacklisted.

At the time of his death he had a girlfriend. She was a lot younger than him, but she was a mess too.

Not the PP, but the character she pays, quite convincingly, is a hillbilly, so opposite of what most people think of when they think NY Jew.

So, I’ll share a Mr. Rogers fact. Mister Rogers would narrate himself feeding the fish each episode with 'I’m feeding the fish' because of a letter he received from a young blind girl who was worried the fish were hungry.

Love this! Mr. Rogers is the reason I am chill, empathetic and a minimalist with neat closets! Hated the train part and talking puppets, that's when I'd make a pb&j sandwich.
