Cuba is the only country in the world you can't visit. And frankly, that's just weird. Cuba is not any worse than Russia, Iran, Syria, Somalia, or a whole host of other dangerous. And, BTW, we have some diplomatic relations with Cuba now, but not NK. The US needs to get a consistent policy. Not visiting without diplomatic relations. Or can visit everywhere. But that would require Congress. So, good luck with that. In the meantime, we have State Deprtment warnings and common sense. |
I love these lefties who think he will miraculously recover.
|
We believe in science, not miracles. |
Yes, I'm sure he will be just fine with all the medical science. His brain is probably damaged. Watch Tucker Carlson tonight and you will see for yourself. |
|
From the NYT - is that a source you idiot progressives believe?
A senior American official has said the United States obtained intelligence reports that he had been repeatedly beaten. His fate has cast new attention on how North Korea treats foreigners in captivity. |
Yes, I feel very badly about Carlson's brain damage. Autoerotic asphyxiation? |
And this is the liberal left. Violent, nasty, ugly people. |
| Why are you making this a partisan issue? I am a Democrat who has no love for N Korea. |
Re-read this thread. |
State Department made a statement that Rodman has nothing to do with the release. The boy was released within first few month of Trump's presidency after been held for more than a year under Obama presidency. Of course Trump should take a credit for this. |
+1 |
Sounds like the "credit" goes to whatever asshole put him in a coma and made him a liability. Poor kid. |
Good observation. |
North Korea is not a socialist country, it is more like a feudalist society. For socialist governments, look to Northern Europe. |
And, here is what you don’t know.......... It started more than four months ago. I heard a conversation about how this happened. Evidently, Tillerson took the issue to Trump the first 30 days of office. Trump told him to do whatever he needed to do and that he was behind him with resources needed. Tillerson worked with the Swedes. Once it was discovered that he was in a coma (and supposedly has been for a year), the Swedes arranged for a medical team to check him out. Then, US officials talked with N Korean officials in NY. They convinced them to let us air evacuation him. And, that is the story. So, it was a win for diplomacy. This was a priority for this administration. So, yes, Trump does get to take some credit for bringing this kid home. If you want to hear the parents’ version, they are on Fox tonight. Tucker Carlson at 8:00. |
