Can you say "false equivalence"? Put the keyboard down and go back to watching Fox News.

It's not, really. SWS doesn't control what students they get any more than Miner does.

Really? You can't be this dense, can you? The PPs are talking about diversity in teachers. The theory is that students and families don't feel comfortable where no one looks like them.

I can tell you that this theory isn't true for many Asians. It would be nice to have more Asian elementary school teachers, but whatever.

But I would not expect big movement and I don't think there is a way to predict when the spots would open up. I would suggest that if you are near the top of the list, and want a spot, you check in with the school periodically. They will probably give you better info than you will find here, and it will be good to remind them of your interest.

Thank you. Are the schools open during the summer?

The admin offices will be open.

FYI, my family just got off the PK-3 waitlist for SWS. We had waitlist #1. So it has moved, but glacially.

Good luck, all.

Sibling preference has a significant effect at SWS given its reently severed ties to the Cluster and the Hill.

From the tone & style of the PP's post, I think it's a he rather than a she.
