most social commentary comedy is funny because there is some basis in reality. And yes, there are studies that back up the general statement that most serial/spree murderers are white males. Not all, "most" meaning either plurality or majority.

Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert's satire is funny because it uses the same sort of "based in reality" humor. "can't make this shit up" comedy, so to speak.

No. If you're referring to the study I read a few pages back, it said that white males are more likely to be mass murderers and that the reason for this was unknown. It did not say that they were more likely to be crazy and do things like eat people.

I get it. I saw Rock's show. And I laughed. It just sounded a little off to say something like, "Yah, it's true that white men are more likely to be crazy, because in his bit, Chris Rock said..."
